The day the launch was cut, the day the SWVHGPA meeting was held, the
day Eagle Rock was first flown, the day these pictures were taken...

Anticipation
Anticipation at Eagle Rock

Dwayne was site dummy, and had a beautiful launch and flight.

Pilots watched as Dwayne immediately gained altitude.

Dwayne cruises around and takes an aerial survey of Crawford Mountain at Eagle Rock. Yup, this place looks like it's gonna be sweet.

We watched in partial disbelief. Cut a slot and fly it the same day? You're dreaming, Joe. It's amazing what can be done when you get a group of hard working pilots together.

Dwayne has a little fun in the smooth January air.

Paul was the next eager pilot to step into the air.

The hang glider pilots weren't about to let the paraglider pilots have all the fun.

The hangs joined in, and the sky became more colorful.

What a beautiful valley. Though the air was chilly, hey, this ain't bad for January.

This is the south side, where there is no launch (yet!). Both sides of Crawford Mountain look good.
